The major concerns of Almond Valley's ministry are to bring "life" to people. That is life in all respects as presented in the Scriptures through our Lord Jesus, the Christ: new life, long life, abundant life, eternal life.
Our Mission is to make the life-changing message of Jesus Christ come alive for the people of our fellowship, community and world.
Our Vision is to help people become a part of a living and vital community of Christ's beloved fellowers as we:
Worship by praising our God.
Educate by teaching about the love of the Father.
Serve by using the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
Tell by proclaiming the message of the Son.
When we gather as children of our heavenly King, we're prompted to exhibit love for God and one another.
The Ripon Oratorio Society will be celebrating the Christmas season with the 69th presentation of Handel's Messiah on Sunday, December 7, 2014. This will be at 3:00 pm at the Immanuel Christian Reformed Church, 4th and Orange, in Ripon. Messiah rehearsals will be held on four Sunday afternoons: November 9,16,23, and 30, at the Immanuel Church. Singers are needed and welcomed. Please join us and bring your Messiah Score, F. Schrimer edition. Singers are asked to contribute a small membership fee.
That means it may be time to update your estate plan. Your plan should reflect your current family and financial circumstances. Bob Zeilenga, a Christian attorney from Barnabas Foundation, will come alongside you to help review your current plan. This confidential Estate Planning review is available to you at no charge and with no obligation. Bob will be meeting with Christian families in our area December 3-6, 2014. Call Deb Harder at Barnabas Foundation toll-free at 888-448-3040 or Jami Vander Weide at Ripon Christian Schools 209-599-2155 to schedule a conversation with Bob. To help you get started, you may also request a free special report titled “Top 10 Estate Planning Mistakes” by simply sending an e-mail request with “Top 10” in the subject line to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Bethany Christian Services Guild is once again asking you to purchase a beautiful poinsettia for your home or to give as a gift. The proceeds from this sale stay local, benefiting Bethany's House in Modesto. The festive plants are only $14 each. Give your order form to Sharon Melcher no later than Sunday, November 30. Pick up your purchase at the Bethany's House Annual Christmas Boutique.
Plan to attend this popular event on Saturday, December 6, from 8:30am to 2 pm, here at the church. Hand-made jewelry, cards, toys, ornaments, Christmas decor and baked goods are among the many items offered. Breakfast and lunch are served and door prizes are given away. Bring a friend and support a great pro-life ministry!
The fastest growing crime in the United States and California is at the center of it. Ripon RAFT (Raising Awareness Fighting Trafficking) is looking for a few more Christians in our community, with a heart that is broken for victims of human trafficking, to become part of our group. We desire to have our group represent as many churches as possible. We plan human trafficking awareness events to help inform Ripon residents about human trafficking. We meet once a month, typically on the 3rd Thursday evening. For more information or questions, please contact Kimberly 605-5746 or Paul 607-4567. Thank you for your consideration.
