Bethany Spring Fundraising Breakfast:
Please make plans now to join us for our Bethany Spring Fundraising Breakfast! A Morning with Bethany,9 a.m. Saturday, May 17, 2008 at Big Valley Grace Community Church. Please SAVE THE DATE – and be praying about whom to bring with you! This one-hour, once-a-year, breakfast event will be inspirational and uplifting. We are seeking to expand our ever-growing group of Bethany Friends – those who provide the funds necessary for us to minister through pregnancy counseling, adoption counseling, Bethany’s House, International adoption, and through international orphan care! We can do our work only because of God’s Grace – and Friends like you!

Jubilant Praise:
Jubilant Praise, a singing ensemble organized in 2001, has prepared a community-wide praise concert to raise funds for Bethany Christian Services. This event will take place at 3:00 PM, Sunday, May 18, at Zion United Reformed Church. Jubilant Praise has invited church choirs in Ripon to join with them for this afternoon of praise. Each choir will have an opportunity to present a song individually in the concert. Jubilant Praise will present a variety of hymn arrangements, contemporary praise songs and traditional choral anthems. The afternoon will conclude with a mass choir presenting two numbers. A love offering will be received for Bethany Christian Services. We hope you will join us for this event.

Guest Pastor:
Today we welcome Rev. Dave Lindner, Bridge of Life Church, Sacramento, to our morning worship service and Rev. Larry Fryling, from Hayward CRC, to our evening worship.

American Family Association:
Are you interested in staying abreast of political and legislative issues that affect Christian values and freedoms as we know them? The American Family Association (www.AFA.net) is a source for you to do that. kept informed about legislative and political issues that could impact you. This is a great way for us as individual Christians to be involved and make a difference.

Good News Club:
Are you interested in reaching some needy children in our community? Many children grow up in homes with no Christian teaching. Their parents may be involved in drugs and drinking. They may live in broken families with a single parent. This summer, from July 7-11, the 5-Day Club, sponsored by our church will reach some of these children with God’s help. We need prayer partners, helpers, supplies or refreshments, etc. Check the sign-up sheet in the foyer for an area where you can help. Thank You!

The Ripon Christian Booster Club:
The Ripon Christian Booster Club announces their 11th Annual Boosters Golf Tournament to be held at Spring Creek Country Club. Join them for fun and relaxation on the golf course Monday, June 9, 2008. If you have any question about team registration or hole sponsorships, please contact any one of the following Booster members - Dale Van Groningen, Mike Hogan, or Ann Maria Boersma. The deadline for sign ups is May 27. Thank you.

All Band Night and More:
Come and support the music program at RC on Tuesday, May 20 in the Performing Arts Center at 7 pm. This will be a night to see the progress of band members from fifth grade through high school. Also included is the 7-8th grade choir. A free-will offering will be taken.

All Church BBQ:
Please join us for an all church BBQ and Baby Shower for the Wicker’s after the morning service on Sunday, June 1. Hamburgers, hot dogs and drinks will be provided. If your last name begins with A-De please bring a crock pot of beans to share, Di-S a salad and T-Z fruit. We will be dining indoors.

Service Socks:
Next Sunday is the last day to bring socks for the Shelter for the homeless in Stockton. The 4th and 5th grades would like to thank the congregation for their support.

Are you looking for an evening filled with laughter, nostalgia, and music? Then look no more. It is time for the annual Ripon Christian Vocal Pops Concert! Mark your calendars for Friday, May 30 at 7pm for this fun-filled event. Come and listen, laugh, and sing along with songs celebrating Disney classics and movie themes.

CHRISTIAN REFORMED CAMPUS MINISTRY ASSOCIATION:
THE CHRISTIAN REFORMED CAMPUS MINISTRY ASSOCIATION will have their 18th annual Bi-National Conference at Calvin Seminary and Calvin College, May 20-23. This year the theme is “Connections: From Face Book to Face-to-Face.” Please pray for and support your CRC University Chaplains and ministry teams who passionately present the gospel from a Reformed perspective on more than 30 campuses across the United States and Canada. CRWRC:
CRWRC began emergency relief for Cyclone Nargis survivors on May 9. Food, shelter, water purification kits, mosquito nets, and medical care are being distributed in the delta region of Burma/Myanmar. CRWRC’s in country partner buys supplies locally avoiding the snags of country to country, and country to agency relief assistance. People are getting help from CRWRC. HOME MISSIONS:
Campus Ministry—For many colleges and universities across Canada and the United States, the end of another year is here. Please pray for the 23 Christian Reformed Home Missions-supported campus ministers, that they may continue to connect with young people on campuses throughout the summer months. Pray, too, that God will give campus ministers guidance as they look for new ways to reach youth.

PRAYER REQUEST:
Pray for a new Back to God Hour English language ministry designed to reach under-churched adults. Walk the Way is a radio and internet program--www.walktheway.net--that challenges listeners to put faith into action. Pray that this ministry will draw many people back into a vital relationship with Jesus Christ and his church.

POSITION OPENING:
The Christian Reformed Church in North America has an opening for a Program Advisor in Bangladesh with the Christian Reformed World Relief Committee (CRWRC).
