CHILDREN'S WORSHIP

CHILDREN & WORSHIP

Children ages three to seven may attend this program which is held during the morning worship service. Children are dismissed from the morning service and meet for 45 minutes. Children are allowed to experience God in a wonderful and meaningful time of Children's Worship. Wooden figures and other materials are used for stories and parables that are told in concordance with our church calendar. Worshipful songs and singing are other highlights of this program.

SUNDAY SCHOOL

Children, ages four through Grade 4 attend Sunday School after the morning service, September through May. They begin by singing together in the basement auditorium. Then, the children divide into classes by age group for Bible stories, discussions, and crafts. Emphasis is placed on how God's truths apply to their everyday lives. It is our hope that they will see God's love through their teachers' words and actions.

GEMS

GEMS logoThis program is divided into two sections. The first section is for girls in grades three and four. We seek to tell them about God so that the girls will come to know Him in a personal way as their friend. Our sessions consist of bible stories, crafts, songs, and games. Meetings are on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of the month from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. The second section is for girls in grades five through eight.

They meet on the 1st and 3rd Monday of the month from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. The goal is to continue to develop their relationship with God and to develop their skills and knowledge in a Christian context. During the meetings, the girls sing, do crafts, work on merit badges, and --most importantly-- study the Bible.

CADETS

cadet logoBoys ages 9 to 13 meet on the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month, 6:30pm to 9:00pm during the school year. They are divided into small cadres of six to eight boys, and each cadre is led by an adult. During the meetings, they work on crafts, play games, and do Bible Study. Additionally, they take part in various activities throughout the year, such as campout, snow outings, and the pinewood derby.

CATECHISM

These classes are for youths in grades 5 through 12. They provide coordinated, progressive instruction in the belief statements of the Christian Reformed Church. The biblical foundations and practical applications of these statements are presented and discussed. All classes meet Sunday after the morning worship service.
