Who We Are
Our Cadet club at Almond Valley Church is for boys, ages 4th through 8th grades. The club meets every 2nd and 4th Monday of the month, 6:30pm-8:30 PM.
Cadets begin their meetings in September and meet through the month of May.
Boys from the church and community come together with Christian men counselors to learn about and experience Christ's love and grow in their relationship with Christ and Christ followers. The typical ratio of adult leaders to boys is one leader to five boys.
Our Cadets at Almond Valley engage in a variety of appealing activities that explore a wide range of exciting interests and practical skills. More than 100 merit badges may be earned as boys move through the ranks of Recruit, Pathfinder, and Builder.
The following is a sampling of engaging and fun activities that are part of our Club’s program:
- Bible Study
- Merit Badge Projects
- Pinewood Derby Race With Other Cadet clubs
- Building Pinewood Derby Cars
- Kick-off BBQ & Swim Party
- PowerPlay Hockey
- Fishing Derby
- and much more
